Alert: The following contains spoilers for Due south Park Season 25, Episode ii, "The Big Set up," at present available on Comedy Central.

It's rubber to say Eric Cartman is the almost despicable character in South Park. He's done unforgivable things like locking Butters away in a bunker and making him think the world ended or grinding upward Scott Tenorman's parents and feeding him their remains -- all to do good himself somehow.

1 of his worst gags came with the race wars he repeatedly tried to set off at various times in the show's run, such as trying to mimic Hitler and exterminate Jews, and pitting Token Black confronting his white buddies. Season 25 is bringing the terrible "race war" gag back, except this time it's not with Cartman; it's through Randy Marsh and Tegridy Farms, which has become a hotspot for Southward Park'south social commentary.

Stan realized Tegridy Farms was into cultural appropriation in South Park

Cartman knew what he was doing because he had white supremacist traits. He once shot Token to prove George Zimmerman was correct, he tried to ensure Black kids dated each other alone and he urged Token and Stan to fight after Stan'southward dad said a racial slur in Flavor 11 onWheel of Fortune. The prejudice was part of Cartman's character, which also extended to Asian people and Mexicans, just and so he could get a few laughs off mean-spirited insults (similar to his contempo roasting of Matt Damon).

Tegridy's race war, though, isn't personal. It's about Token'south dad Steve opening a weed farm opposite Randy Marsh's Tegridy Farms. steve's Credigree Farms is promoting Black civilisation and J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings franchise -- and that'south infuriating Randy, who tin't stand how his strategies of appropriation got appropriated by Steve. Randy kicked Token out of his domicile in "The Big Fix" with a tirade that could be construed every bit racist, just there'due south ane large deviation between him and Cartman.

Randy'due south so impaired that he won't even understand what he'southward proverb, as seen when he used the racist slur in Flavor 11's "With Apologies to Jesse Jackson." S Park ever has Randy not being overtly racist, only using racist terminology at the worst times and in public. Some white customers accept already noticed Randy's irate mental attitude and fabricated it articulate that they prefer to partake in business fully endemic past people of color. Given that Credigree has that hipster appeal to stick information technology to white corporations, as well as an eclectic mix of nerd and street cred, Randy will be fighting tooth and nail to forbid downturn in his cannabis sales.

Whatever entrada Randy wages to defend Tegridy Farms, it won't be politically right. He may end upward doing some white nationalist nonsense nearly POC taking white jobs -- which would too connet back to before seasons when Due south Park addressed xenophobia and stigmas with Latinos. But information technology's not just Credigree pain his business; information technology's the fact people are waking up to white folks making money off the weed industry while people of color are in jail or shut out of the wealth creation -- which he learned at a cannabis expo in "The Big Fix" merely has failed to remember.

S Park fans are worried about how Randy will contend with the Blacks making the coin he feel he's entitled to, especially when he has the immature and always high Towelie at his side. He put Stan and the family through so much stress during the pandemic, leading to a cruel fate, that it'll be difficult to encounter them branded racist when his new business organisation plans get rolling. He'll be stubborn and blinded by the inevitable segmentation he sows. Randy is frustratingly clueless whereas Cartman was completely self-enlightened -- just they're both examples of the same terrible gag.
