file size for uploading to walmart for printing

I have taken some pictures with my cp880 (3.3mega pixel) at total/fine resolution and the size of each image file is effectually 1mb. I retouched (and cropped most of them to 4x6 aspect ratio and some to 5x7 and few to 8x10) in PS Elements and saved them in TIFF.Now the size of each is around 4 mb.I cannot upload them to Walmart as walmart does not take if they are more 2mb. Then how exercise I upload them (how to brand them less than 2 mb each) without whatsoever loss of quality or resolution ?

Thanks--Jay

Re: file size for uploading to walmart for printing

I didn't know wallmart develops digital pictues online. Also have 3.3 mp photographic camera; nikon coolpix 990. And my pictures are also slightly less and then mb when I prepare to three:4 ratio. When i edit them I relieve them back to jpg in photoshop at level 10 - 12 so they don't exceed 1mb, takes too long to upload even with my cable modem. Don't worry about loosing item at this setting I don't call up yous can tell the divergence between original. I've ordered photos from shutterfly and ofoto and they wait equally good as 35mm

Easy if yous want the file size smaller, then dont relieve as tiff.

Subsequently yous crop the image, resize, etc. Relieve it has a jpg file. Yes it loses some quality, simply a maximum quality jpg will exist about identical to the tiff file.

Keep the tiff every bit your base image for editing, etc. and then salve seperate jpg images for printing.

Yes information technology loses some quality, but a maximum quality jpg will be almost
identical to the tiff file.

Continue the tiff equally your base epitome for editing, etc. and so salve
seperate jpg images for printing.
